We don't like the use of QR codes, but because we share the taproom with Bearded Iris brewery we have found that this is the best way for us to give you the best service. The seating is first come first served. We recommend grabbing a table. Then going to the bar and ordering a beverage. Go back to your table and order food through the QR code on the table. We also recommend putting the whole tables order in on one ticket if possible. That way you can all eat and slurp joyously. The QR code at the table is assigned to that table, so try not to switch tables or grab another QR code from another table. Your food is delivered to that numbered table.
We share the taproom with BEARDED IRIS BREWERY. This is where we continue our mission of spreading noodle happiness. We are two separate businesses sharing the same space. Much like a food hall. We take your food only order and they take only drink orders.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, THOUGH WE MAY NOT TAKE YOUR ORDER OR SEAT YOU, WE STRIVE TO GIVE OUR GUESTS THE BEST SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE WE CAN BY ANTICIPATING YOUR NEEDS AND HAVING A SERVICE & HOSPITALITY FOCUSED CULTURE IN OUR SPACE.
TO EXPLAIN, WE MADE THE DECISION TO ADD AUTO SERVICE CHARGE TO YOUR ORDER WHEN WE MOVED LOCATIONS FOR A FEW REASONS.
1. WE GIVE THIS SERVICE CHARGE TO OUR WHOLE TEAM, BUSSERS, FOOD RUNNERS, COOKS, DISHWASHERS, NOODLE MAKERS, ETC.... NOT JUST OUR FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF WHO GREETS YOU, BUSSES YOUR TABLE, BRINGS YOU YOUR FOOD, AND CHECKS IN ON YOUR EXPERIENCE. AUTO SERVICE CHARGE GIVES OUR WHOLE STAFF A REAL QUALITY OF LIFE. AND ISN'T THAT AWESOME?! WHEN YOU EAT AT BLACK DYNASTY YOU ARE CONTRIBUTING NOT ONLY TO A SMALL BUSINESS THAT HAS BIG DREAMS, BUT A WHOLE TEAM THAT HAS BIG DREAMS TOO. PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE WORKING HERE! AND THAT'S THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GOOD RESTAURANT AND A BAD RESTAURANT. IF THE STAFF ISN'T TAKEN CARE OF, THERE'S DEFINITELY NO WAY YOU, OUR LOVELY GUEST WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF IN THE SAME WAY.
2. WE TYPICALLY ASSOCIATE TIPPING IN AMERICA WITH QUALITY OF SERVICE, WHICH IN AN INDUSTRY WHERE SERVERS MAKE LESS THAN $3 AN HOUR THERE'S A REASON WHY 20% IS SEEN AS THE SOCIAL STANDARD. BUT IT TAKES A LOT MORE WORK TO MAKE THAT FOOD THAN JUST TAKING AN ORDER AND BRINGING YOU TO YOUR TABLE. HENCE WHY WE DISTRIBUTE THE SERVICE CHARGE TO THE WHOLE TEAM, PAY THEM ABOVE MINIMUM WAGE, AND SHARE THE SERVICE CHARGE EQUALLY. BECAUSE EVERYONE CONTRIBUTED TO THAT SMALL PLATE, DESSERT, OR BOWL OF RAMEN YOU'RE ABOUT TO EAT. IT TAKES THE SAME AMOUNT OF WORK WITH TAKEOUT AND DELIVERY RAMEN. IF YOU MAKE EVEN JUST A SINGLE BOWL OF RAMEN, WITH ALL THE COMPONENTS, IT TAKES A MINIMUM OF 2-3 DAYS.
We are a family friendly environment. We are a safe space. We even have kid chopsticks! Fur babies are welcome on the patio. Service animals are welcome inside the taproom.
